Contemporary house on a winter evening, frosted garden and light snow The same house on a summer evening, at sunset

Geothermal energy · geocooling · radiant ceilings

Inside, always the right season.

A local, silent energy source that heats in winter and cools in summer, managed by a single point of contact.

Our commitments

  1. 01Performance

A higher energy class and measured consumption after the works.

  2. 02Aesthetics

Façades, roofs and details designed to enhance the building, not just insulate it.

  3. 03Peace of mind

A single lead, open prices and steady comfort all year round.

Two fields, one lead.

A full renovation for apartment buildings, premium energy solutions for houses. Each project is designed for its building.

Comfort, in orders of magnitude.

According to the Federal Statistical Office (FSO), most homes built before 2001 are still heated with oil. Geothermal energy and radiant ceilings change this.

Orders of magnitude, with no guarantee for any individual building: the result depends on the system and the building.

Performance comes from the complete system.

  1. C1

    Envelope

Façades, roof, windows and solar shading reduce and stabilise demand.

  2. C2

    Source

Geothermal probes where the address is eligible, or a renewable alternative.

  3. C3

    Generation

Water-to-water heat pump, domestic hot water and low-temperature hydraulics.

  4. C4

    Distribution

ONIVO ceilings, geocooling and dew point control.

  5. C5

    Electricity

Photovoltaics, battery storage and vehicle charging.

  6. C6

    Intelligence

Zenheat Care monitoring, then energy management.

Decide on a strategy before launching the work packages.

The owner keeps the decision. Zenheat ensures consistency, from the first visit to the monitoring of consumption.

  1. 01

    Understand

Condition of the building, usage, running costs and expectations.

  2. 02

    Compare

    Costed options, subsidies and phasing.

  3. 03

    Decide

An overall strategy before separate work packages.

  4. 04

    Obtain approval

    Cantonal procedures, grants and drilling.

  5. 05

    Tender

Competing contractors working from a common specification.

  6. 06

    Build

    Planned works, limited disruption.

  7. 07

    Measure

    Adjustments and monitoring after commissioning.

Fees disclosed before the mandate

0% margin added on the work packages.

Contractors’ bids are compared on a common basis. The selected packages are presented to you at their award price, and you keep the decision.

  • H1

    A separately remunerated mission

Design, tendering, coordination, site supervision and commissioning are covered by separate fees.

  • H2

    Generally 10 to 15%

For a full mission, based on the reference budget of the managed works, depending on the scope and complexity of the project.

  • H3

An amount in CHF, known in advance

The rate, the amount and the services included are set out in the mandate offer, after the diagnosis and before signing.

  • H4

    No surprises

Any significant change of scope is submitted to you before fees are adjusted.

Package awarded at the tender price, with no added margin. Differences in price and scope are explained to the client.

An energy rating that goes up.

The CECB (Swiss building energy certificate) measures the efficiency of the envelope and of the building. A full renovation aims for several classes of improvement, to be confirmed by the energy study.

Illustrative example. The class that can be achieved depends on the condition of the building, the scope of works and the energy study.

Projections of transformation.

Investor pathway

Invest in renovation, share the value.

Zenheat partners with investors to acquire and renovate buildings constructed between 1950 and 2000, with a sound structure and demonstrable potential.

  1. I1

    Acquire

The financial partner provides the capital for the purchase and the works, under a structure specific to each project.

  2. I2

    Transform

Zenheat manages permits, studies, tenders and the construction site, with the aim of reaching energy class B or A.

  3. I3

    Resell and share

The renovated property is resold on the basis of its performance and comfort. The net profit is shared between the project partners.

Christophe HanauerFounder and director

An engineer with a master’s degree in energy engineering, Christophe Hanauer has twenty years of experience in energy and project management.

At EKZ Contracting AG, which operates more than 1’400 heating installations in Switzerland, he delivered geothermal installations, among other projects.

Zenheat relies on the physicist Michele Schiliro and on a network of specialists in French-speaking Switzerland covering photovoltaics, drilling, plumbing, heating and electrical work.
